In 1960 Luton Corporation purchased a batch of five Leyland PD2/30 with an East Lancs L27/28 bodies to replace their 1945/6 Bristol K6A/ Park Royal high bridge (they were all they could get at the time). It lasted until United Counties took over in 1970. Photo taken 15 April 1962 at their Park Street depot.

In 1964 it had its radiator shell replaced with a red painted one for 1949 117 FNM117. 137 was one of the last exposed radiator Luton Corporation buses. Seen in Liverpool 1969 ! It had been sold to Mersey Docks and Harbour Board via a dealer. (and still with the red rad shell).

A pre-war 27 BTM900 Daimler COG5 formed the basis for this Service Vehicle on Trade Plates. Body by Willowbrook, it was new Jan 1938.withdrawn Dec 51 and transferred to the Auxillary fleet in Jan 1952. It served as a towing vehicle until approximately 1966.
